Win a Mercedes G-Class

The Mercedes G-Class is iconic. It started as a workhorse in 1979, but soon became a status symbol – and was even a ‘Popemobile’ through the ‘80s and ‘90s. Today, it’s the ultimate SUV for the rich and famous, mixing incredible go-anywhere ability with a truly luxurious interior.

Want the chance to win a brand-new Mercedes G-Class, worth over £125,000? Enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Dorset, by Sunday 12th May and not only will you be in with a chance to win this luxurious SUV, but this £2,500,000 Forest House could be yours too.

The Mercedes G-Class is the ultimate status symbol for the wealthy and the well-known, as at home schlepping an A-list celeb to the gym as it is tackling a mud-covered off-road trail. But how has it come to be held in such high regard?

Well, the Mercedes G-Class (colloquially known as the G-wagon) has a proper go-anywhere lineage that dates back over four decades – and, thanks to the latest off-road tech, this modern G is more capable than ever.

At the same time, while the chunky exterior design of the G-Class has changed little since the 1979 original, inside there are now leather and luxuries galore, from a high-end sound system, via an interior-air ioniser, to twin digital screens.

This lovely interior, then. Think black, perforated Nappa leather and black-flamed, open-pore ash wood trim, plus customisable ambient lighting with 64 colours to add a dash of colour.

Highlights include a 15-speaker, 590W Burmester® surround sound system, an interior-air ioniser, plus twin 12.3-inch screens behind one glass panel. You can pick from three display styles: Classic, Sport and Progressive.

Beyond all of that, there are a suite of safety and technology systems, including 360-degree ‘surround-view’ cameras, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Attention Assist to detect driver fatigue

As for the long off-road lineage… every generation of Mercedes G-Class has to conquer the Schöckl, a mountain in Graz, Austria. Only then is it approved for production. That means this G-Class, as well as having the basics needed for off-roading like four-wheel drive, comes with a wealth of other additions too…

That includes three differential locks and a low-range ratio, clever electronic chassis trickery, plus a torquey 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine with over 500lb ft.

That off-road ability translates well onto the road too, as the G-Class can tow up to 3.5 tonnes and has a massive 100-litre fuel tank as well—perfect for that horse box or boat. Adaptive suspension keeps everything comfortable and cosseting as well.

All that, and it’s an iconic design. We chose this G-Class in Obsidian Black metallic paint and it’ll look equally at home with its silver exterior brightwork sparkling outside a fancy restaurant, or covered in mud ferrying family and/or foals around the countryside.

So, if you need a vehicle that can do just about anything and go just about anywhere, then enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Dorset, by Sunday 12th May and this Mercedes G-Class could be yours.

And that’s not all. You’ll also have the chance to win a Forest House in Dorset, along with £100,000 cash. The best part? You’ll be supporting BBC Children in Need.
