Who Won the Devon House?

Glen E, a foundry worker from Walsall, purchased a £25 ticket bundle after seeing our ad on TV and now, he’s the owner of a dream coastal home in Devon worth over £3,000,000! I’m absolutely gobsmacked, the only thing we’ve ever won before was £3.50 at a bingo night on holiday!’ he said. All stamp duty and legal fees are covered, and we’ve also given Glen £20,000 in cash to help with running costs. It’s all absolutely life changing. We caught up with Glen to find out if it’s all sunk in yet…

How do you feel about winning your cash prize?

I can't quite get my head around it. I think I'm still dreaming. I'm over the moon! Unbelievable!

What tempted you to enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw?

I was blown away by the house. I have always wanted to build my own "Grand Design," but never been in a position to do so. Living by the sea has also been a secret dream of mine!

What would you do if you won the house?

We absolutely love the house and will be keeping it as there’s no other house like it in the country, so why would we want to sell it!? It looks like a Bond lair! We just need a window cleaner, a gardener and a cleaner now!

How will this prize change your life?

It’s going to change the quality of life for all our family, we won’t have to work as hard which means we can spend more time together. It gives us all more stability.

We haven’t had a holiday for over 2 years, but this house is so spectacular we’re going to enjoy our first family holiday right here. I don’t think we’d find a better place anywhere else in the world!

You’ve also helped to raise money for the NSPCC’s Childline. How does that feel?

I think the partnership between Omaze and Childline is a brilliant idea as it’s raising money to help children when they need it most.

We couldn’t be happier for Glen and his family. And, as a member of the Omaze community, we couldn’t be more proud of you. Because just by entering the Devon House Draw, you’ve helped us raise an incredible £1,000,000 for the NSPCC’s Childline. And that means Childline counsellors can be there for even more young people, no matter what difficulty they’re facing.

You really have helped to change lives, so thank you so much for being a part of the Devon House Draw.
