Meet the Sussex House Draw Winners

We’re thrilled to announce that James Moughton, from Hull, has won the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Sussex. He’s now the proud owner of a luxurious beachfront four-bedroom property with a self-contained guesthouse, worth £4,000,000.

The 71-year-old retired cabbie has been living off his pension but said “It’ll be ice cold beers on the sun lounger from now on!”

“I was having such an uneventful week before Omaze turned up. Then all of a sudden I get a knock at the door and someone tells me I’ve won a prize—initially I thought it must be a wind-up! I was gobsmacked! I went to see my daughter afterwards to crack open a bottle of fizz to celebrate!”

The ecstatic grandad who lives in his one-bedroom flat in Hull is overjoyed. “I’ve got a daughter, a son and two grandchildren — they’re all over the moon for me. I can’t wait to have all the family come and stay - everyday will feel like a holiday here.”

“I’m from a council estate, but now I own a coastal paradise. I can’t believe I’m going from a one-bedroom flat to a £4 million mansion! Things like this just don’t happen to people where I come from. The last thing I won was a soft toy at the Hull Fair!”

The house comes mortgage-free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. James also gets a whopping £250,000 in cash to help him settle in and can decide to either live in the house, rent it out for a supplementary income, or sell it whenever he wishes to become a cash multi-millionaire.

As well as making James a multimillionaire, the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Sussex, raised £4.1 Million for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Every day in the UK six people are diagnosed with motor neurone disease—a terminal, neurological condition which leaves people unable to speak, eat and ultimately breathe.

The money you raised by entering the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Sussex, will help support the MND Association’s Research Nurse Network and create the life-saving treatments of tomorrow.

Tanya Curry, Chief Executive of the MND Association said: “This incredible amount represents a beacon of hope for the MND community.

“Since our partnership with Omaze began more than 300 people will have been told they have MND and that there’s no treatment or cure. Your generosity will change that - it will help us rewrite what it means to be diagnosed with MND.”

“Through the development of our Research Nurse Network many more people will be empowered to access cutting edge clinical trials, paving the way for the breakthrough we’re impatient to see.”

That’s what happens when you do something omazing. For your chance to win big and give back, enter our live draws now.
