The all-electric Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is about as capable as cars come. The electric powertrain offers instant performance and zero driving emissions, while the Cross Turismo bodystyle delivers all-terrain ability and extra practicality. Add in peerless Porsche design, a high-tech interior, and over £20k of optional extras, and you’re looking at one consummately accomplished car!
Want to win a brand-new Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, worth over £100,000? Enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Yorkshire, to be in with a chance to win your dream house and this incredible electric car.
The Taycan is Porsche’s first electric car, with cutting-edge tech that delivers incredible performance (think 571PS and 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds) and a driving experience akin to one of Porsche’s fabled sports cars. Better yet, this Cross Turismo estate version swaps the original Taycan saloon’s svelte body for a more practical set of clothes, with a bigger boot and raised suspension.
We’ve made some changes of our own too, adding over £20k of extras to this car. That includes the understated Volcano Grey metallic paint, and the 21-inch Cross Turismo Design wheels painted in high-gloss black, alone worth nearly £4k. We’d argue the result is worth it!
Think of the Cross Turismo as the EV that does it all. Alongside the boot in the back – with a powered tailgate, naturally – there’s another luggage compartment under the bonnet. There’s also space for five inside, seat heating for four, and a large panoramic roof to flood the cabin with natural light.
This is also a cutting-edge electric car. The Taycan is the first production car to feature a system voltage of 800 volts, instead of a typical EV’s 400 volts. To us mere mortals that means quicker charging—up to 270kW—so 60 miles of range can be added in as little as 4.5 minutes under optimum conditions.
It gets better. The Taycan Cross Turismo boasts four-wheel drive, suspension raised by 20mm, and a Gravel Mode, so along with not needing to worry about charging, you needn’t worry about where you’re driving either. In other words, it’s perfect for life in the city, or the countryside, or going back and forth between the two.
Whatever the surface, whatever the situation, adaptive air suspension and adaptive dampers ensure a smooth ride, and the driver can choose from Range, Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual modes with a simple twist of the steering-wheel-mounted dial. For a little extra fun, we’ve also included the configurable Porsche Electric Sport Sound system, so you can choose how your Taycan sounds.
The Taycan’s interior is no less impressive than its performance on the road (or off it, as the case may be). The driver faces a 16.8-inch curved digital display, and two central touchscreens control the sat-nav, infotainment, and the optional BOSE® Surround Sound System with 14 speakers and a 710-watt output.
We’ve allowed ourselves to go a little wild with the interior, too, lavishing it with two-tone Crayon and Black leather, plus Crayon seatbelts, options alone worth over £3k. There’s also 18-way adaptive sports seats for the driver and passenger, and the optional £2k Porsche InnoDrive system with multiple driving assistance features.
