Win a Range Rover Sport Autobiography

There’s no vehicle more versatile than the Range Rover Sport. For a start, it’s as equally large and luxurious as its Range Rover sibling, particularly in this model’s top-spec Autobiography guise. Plus it remains as capable off-road as any Range Rover ever has been. However, alongside all those attributes, its more dynamic chassis and more aerodynamic body give the Sport its name.

It’s a unique combination, making the Range Rover Sport particularly special. So, for your chance to win this fantastic luxurious and sporty SUV, worth £100,000, an Elegant House worth over £4,000,000, and £250,000 in cash, enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Bath, by Sunday 12th January.

The first Range Rover was launched in 1970, as a ground-breaking luxury 4x4. Today’s modern ‘Rangie’ remains the world’s most luxurious SUV, but it now has a funkier twin, the Range Rover Sport.

The Sport is just as lavish inside as its sibling, but it’s more dynamic by design, both to drive and to behold. It is, as the name suggests, more sporting when you’re behind the wheel (thanks to a unique chassis set-up) while the styling is also more muscular and dramatic. In short, the Sport has all the best bits of the Range Rover, but it’s more a running shoe than a walking boot.

Of course, this is still a Range Rover through and through. So although not everyone wants to go off-road – let alone when their SUV is worth six figures – should the need arise, the Range Rover Sport remains one of the most accomplished cars to get muddy. It’s got all-wheel drive for a start. Trick air suspension can raise the ride height for more ground clearance or to wade through water up to 900mm deep, too. There’s even adaptive off-road cruise control, and the Terrain Response 2 tech offers seven driving modes to suit the environment.

Alternatively, stick to sealed surfaces and on the road the powerful twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel engine can send this Sport to 60mph in 5.6 seconds. Thank 350hp, plus 516lb ft of torque, for that. The eight-speed gearbox is automatic, but there’s also manual paddleshift override.

This Range Rover Sport is a particularly special model, as it’s in top-spec Autobiography guise. With a few choice options added in, you’ll want for nothing. That means there’s everything from a 800-watt Meridian 3D Surround Sound System, via a cooled centre console compartment and a cabin air purification system, to heated and ventilated power-recline rear seats. Don’t worry, the front seats are equally special too: heated, ventilated, with a massage function, and electrically adjustable in 22 ways.

Yet despite being fully loaded, the Sport makes life simple. The trick air suspension lowers to make getting in and out easier. It can also squat the rear end to help access to the boot. Speaking of which, if your hands are full, the powered ‘gesture tailgate’ works hands-free. Simply flick your foot under the rear bumper and the boot opens or closes. There’s keyless entry and start too, and the doors have a ‘soft-close’ function, so they quietly latch themselves meaning you never need to slam them.

Those are the details, but the overall aura of this Range Rover Sport is special too. On the outside it’s suitably demure, with Carpathian Grey metallic paint offset against a contrast black roof and black brake calipers. The Black Exterior Pack also switches out shiny metal trim for dark detailing, including for the grille and badging. A neat feature are the sleek pop-out door handles, which deploy when the Sport is unlocked.

Move inside and the dark theme continues, with Ebony leather on nearly every surface, including the heated steering wheel. Look up though, and you’ll find a full-length sliding panoramic roof, which floods the cabin with light.

There’s plenty of tech in here too, but it’s pleasingly helpful. There’s four-zone climate control, so everyone can have their own temperature set just so. There’s no clutter of buttons and switches either, because all the major controls are grouped into the easy-to-use 13.1-inch central touchscreen. It’s here you’ll find the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, plus the configurable interior ambient lighting.

Another trick touch is the rear-view ‘mirror’, which is in fact a screen fed from a camera mounted on the roof. The faces of your family, your luggage or a mucky back window will never get in the way again. It sounds odd, but you’ll be used to it in seconds.

You likely need no more convincing, so if you enter the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Bath, by Sunday 12th January, this fantastic luxurious and sporty SUV could be yours. And that’s not all. You’ll also have the chance to win a stunning house in Bath worth over £4,000,000, and £250,000 in cash.

And the best part? You’ll be supporting British Heart Foundation.
