ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH UK

Dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK, with almost one million people currently living with the condition and no treatments available on the NHS to slow, stop or prevent it.

Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Drug Discovery team is working to change this, bridging the gap between world-leading researchers and later stage drug discovery to speed up the search for new dementia treatments. But they can’t do it alone.

By entering the Scotland House Draw, you’re helping create a world where people now in their 40s experience dementia as a treatable condition.

"We’re incredibly grateful to Omaze for choosing to stand with Alzheimer’s Research UK and everyone impacted by dementia.

Almost one million people in the UK are living with dementia, the country’s biggest killer. Yet, no treatments are available on the NHS to slow or stop it.

This partnership will help to fund our Drug Discovery team, speeding up the discovery of desperately needed dementia treatments.

The support of everyone who takes part will be essential to ensuring life-changing treatments arrive sooner, bringing us closer to a cure. Thank you.”

“I’ve been a proud Ambassador of Alzheimer’s Research UK for many years, having witnessed first-hand the destruction dementia causes. It robbed me of my brother and brother-in-law.

If nothing changes, one in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime—either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both. So there has never been a greater need to support Alzheimer’s Research UK’s search for a cure.

I’m thrilled that Alzheimer’s Research UK is partnering with Omaze. Together, we really can end the heartbreak of dementia.”

Brian Cox, Alzheimer’s Research UK Ambassador
