The winner of our Cornwall House Draw already considered himself a lucky man…but he had no idea just how lucky, until we knocked on his door to share the news that he’d won an award-winning £3,000,000 house on Cornwall’s sought-after north coast!
Uttam Parmar from Leicestershire said: “I’ve always considered myself a lucky person, firstly because of my wonderful family – but I’ve also won a few bits such as a TV and coffee table – which I was pretty happy with to be honest - I never dreamed I’d win anything as extravagant as a three-million-pound-house!”
Uttam bought his winning entry in July for just £25. He has entered every Omaze Million Pound House Draw since we launched in 2020 and loves Cornwall, having holidayed there over the years. He said of his win: “...patience really is a virtue, as I’ve now won my own piece of paradise - this house is definitely my favourite one!”
He has also been given £50,000 in cash to help him settle in and, as with all Omaze houses, his new luxury home comes mortgage free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. As well as making Uttam a multimillionaire, the Cornwall House Draw also raised a staggering £1,000,000 for Blood Cancer UK’s vital research work.
Uttam has worked as an operations manager at Alps Alpine for 18 years and his wife of 32 years, Raki, has worked for a regional police authority for 23 years. Their son Aaron lives in London, where he works as a senior manager at an insurance firm.
They have a large, extended family that live across the UK, all of whom Uttam suspects will want to spend as much time as possible at the four-bedroom Cornwall House! And who can blame them?
