How Will British Heart Foundation Use the Money?

Entering the London House Draw doesn’t just mean you’re in with the chance of winning a beautiful North London town house worth over £3,000,000 and £100,000 cash, it also means you’ll be helping British Heart Foundation to continue their pioneering research into lifesaving educational, medical, and technological breakthroughs.

Established over 60 years ago, British Heart Foundation has worked tirelessly towards its vision for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. And their goals for the coming decade are more ambitious than ever: to put an end to heart attacks and strokes that strike without warning, to cure heart failure and to find a way to prevent sudden death from cardiac arrest.

The charity will use the money that the Omaze Community raises to support researchers who are making lifesaving medical advances.

With £250,000 they could fund a heart attack research project for three years, powering expert scientists to prevent families from suffering the heartbreak these attacks can cause.

With £500,000 they could fund emerging scientists and make developments into strokes, one of the world’s biggest killers, helping more people to recover from them.

With £750,000 British Heart Foundation could fully finance five cardiovascular PhD students’ training, fuelling the next generation of research leaders who will make the breakthroughs of tomorrow.

And with an incredible £1,000,000 a five-year research programme into heart failure could be funded, paving the way to the discoveries this disease desperately needs and keeping more families together in the future.

Partnering with Omaze for a second time, Dr Charmaine Griffiths, Chief Executive at British Heart Foundation, had this to say: “We are absolutely delighted to join forces with Omaze once again. Despite phenomenal progress in research over the last 60 years, heart and circulatory diseases - including heart attack and stroke - kill one in four people in the UK and are the world’s biggest killers. The money raised will help British Heart Foundation to fund more research to save and improve the lives of all of those affected by heart and circulatory diseases in the UK.”

The Omaze London House is a beautiful, four-bedroom town house set in the leafy North London borough of Islington and worth over £3,000,000. We’ll also be giving the winner an incredible £100,000 in cash to help them settle in.
