The Maserati Grecale is the SUV we’ve all been waiting for. There’s Italian elegance, both inside and out, and innovation in spades: from the Formula 1 tech in the engine, to the plethora of high-tech touchscreens within the interior. And whether you’re enamoured with the luxurious leather and carbon fibre cabin, or smitten by the prospect of this range-topping Trofeo model’s 530PS twin-turbo V6 (or both…) this Grecale SUV is practical as well!
It oozes Italian style and performance, so whether you’re nipping to the shops, taking the dog for a walk, or heading out for dinner, every drive in this Maserati Grecale will be an event.
Want to be in with the chance to win this brand-new Maserati Grecale Trofeo, worth over £90,000? For your chance to win a Stunning Villa in Mallorca and this fantastic Maserati SUV, enter the Omaze Million Pound House Superdraw, Mallorca, by Sunday 14th January.
The Grecale is Maserati’s newest SUV and, in range-topping Trofeo guise, it combines a luxurious and innovative interior with a 530PS engine to make every day feel extraordinary.
But before we get onto the innovative interior or the F1-inherited tech in the high-performance engine, it’s worth drinking in the design details. After all, there are SUVs, and then there are SUVs designed in Italy.
We love the signature grille with the company’s bold ‘Trident’ emblem, and the LED headlights whose light graphic apes Maserati’s MC20 supercar. And no Maserati would be complete without triple side air vents, a Maserati design trademark since 1947.
This range-topping Trofeo model has some additional exterior features, too, including an aerodynamically optimised body complete with carbon fibre trim, and a sports exhaust system with quad tailpipes. We’ve also specified this particular car with elegant ‘Nero Tempesta’ metallic black paint, gorgeous ‘Crio’ 21-inch alloy wheels, and eye-catching ‘Rosso’ red brake calipers.
The beautifully appointed interior of the Grecale showcases modern Italian craftsmanship, combining supple ‘Nero’ black leather with contemporary matt-finish carbon fibre trim. There’s also contrast ‘Rosso’ red stitching (to match the brake calipers on the outside).
The wow factor continues with the dual 12.3in and 8.8in central touchscreens, which control the sat-nav, infotainment and air-con. The driver also gets a 12.3in digital dial display, with four configurations, while the traditional Maserati mechanical clock in the dashboard is now a configurable digital smartwatch.
Entertainment comes courtesy of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, and the high-end Sonus faber sound system with 14 speakers and 860 watts. Pampering is taken care of by electric, 14-way adjustable heated front sport seats, and heated outer rear seats. And convenience is provided by surround view ‘360-degree’ parking cameras, a powered tailgate, and a head-up display for the driver.
There’s more. Much more in fact, because this is the range-topping, high-performance Trofeo model. Which first and foremost means a 530PS 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with clever tech inherited from F1. But there’s also an uprated chassis with big Brembo brakes, air suspension (with six settings) and a trick rear e-differential.
And if all that performance isn’t your cup of tea (or espresso, given the Italian nature of this SUV) then you can mooch around with the eight-speed automatic shifting gears itself, the air suspension in its plushest setting, and the driving mode set to Comfort or GT rather than Sport or Corsa.
